A Junk Journal Jouney Workshop At Flippin' Fabulous In Burlington, WI
Sunday, March 23, 2025 (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Join guest instructor Michelle, owner of Paper For Thoughts, on a journey to create your own junk journal on Sunday, March 23rd from 10am to 1pm.
What is a junk journal? A one-of-a-kind, handmade book filled with recycled materials- old book pages, magazine pages, ribbons, fabric, postcards, old letters, and anything else you can find. It's a place where you can draw, keep your thoughts, memories, or dreams.
What will you create? A daily journal, a travel or memory book, or a scrapbook of your hopes, dreams, and favorite moments. It's your creation, use it however you want! This class will guide you through creating the "signatures"which are the pages for your book, as well as decorating the pages and creating your covers. You will be able to add your own personal ephemera - nots, photos, tickets, whatever treasures you have.
What to bring:
-photos
-postcards
-ticket stubs
-magazine pictures
-pages from books you like
-quotes that speak to you
-any scraps of paper, fabric, ribbon, or lace that you like
Michelle will also have things for you to choose from.
The cost of the class is $40 per participant, per class. This class is suitable for ages 14 and up. As an added bonus, all class participants receive 10% their total purchase at Flippin' Fabulous the day of the class.
