Are There Bats at Bong??? 

Saturday, May 23, 2026 Time: 8:26 – 9:26 PM 

Location: Sunrise Campground play area 

Join our BNA Volunteer and Wisconsin DNR Bat Ambassador, John Davies, for our first bat hike of the season and discover that there are, indeed, bats at Bong! 

Shortly after sundown meet at the Sunrise Campground play area for a short introduction to bats (the mammal) in Wisconsin. Then we will walk up to a bat house and listen for bats flying by, using special ultrasonic microphones.

 🦇 Please note that we will be walking on the park camp ground roads after sundown. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by adults and everyone should wear bright clothing. 

Note: This event is weather dependent: rain=no presentation. 

The event is open to the general public but to enter the park you must purchase a state park entrance pass/sticker.
