Description
Metta Bhavana, is from the Buddhist and Tibet Buddhist tradition, and it can practiced by anyone regardless of religious affiliation. Lovingkindness is a meditation to cultivate love, developing compassion, concern, tenderness, and friendship. Metta is the Pali word that means an unconditional, inclusive love, a love with wisdom that you feel from inside your heart towards yourself and others. The word bhavana means ‘cultivation’ or ‘development’. All of this comes from a self-less place and extends outward from ourselves to personal categories and then to all living beings, creating a sense of harmony in your life as well as in your relationships. This meditation practice is one of softening the mind and heart without the desire to possess another person.
