JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role supports the Finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with compliance to company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper approval
- Process vendor payments via check and ACH in a timely manner
- Reconcile vendor statements and research/resolves discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status and payment inquiries
- Collaborate with Finance team members to support accurate financial reporting
- Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Maintain organized and accurate AP files and documentation
- Minimum of 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
